I have a Mitsubishi PD-4225 that I am trying to repair. There is no picture but it has audio. The Y top and bottom scan boards have been replaced and the Z-sus board has been replaced by the guy I purchased it from but he gave up because he didn't want to put anymore money into the TV. All I really have to test boards is a multimeter and am not sure how to test the Y-sus board. I do believe it is the y-sus board but I want to be certain before I pay $150 for the board. Any help would be great!!

Re: Mitsubishi PD-4225
It could be a number of things. As old as that TV is, I wouldn't recommend putting much money into it.
The plasma panel and drive cards (logic, sustains, and buffers) are from LG. There is a collection of training manuals available on Elektrotanya. I'd suggest studying them.
Unfortunately, while the training manuals will give some information on troubleshooting, they do not go into depth on the circuitry involved. A multimeter won't be much help, to see any activity you would need an oscilloscope that can handle at least 200 Mhz.
PlainBillFor a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.
