Re: Sanyo DP42848 Dead
Working on a TV with a very identical issue. For me the power would stay on but the back-light was turning off after a couple seconds. The problem got worse as there was a buzzing sound coming from the sides of the TV. The inverter boards apon moving them seemed to alter the buzzing sounds so i played around with them. After a few more turn ons the right back-light quit followed by the left. Now the back-light will not come on. Im assuming the actual bulbs may have burnt out but this seems unlikely. I have found nothing wrong with the boards aside from a cap that looks a little bulged, (Image Below) i cant tell if that cap is bad by looking at it. The fracturing grooves in the top looks like a K and i have yet to see any of these type that are broken.
If anyone has any ideas im willing to try, this is a good TV and the Bulbs are usually last to go.
