    Philips 50PF7321D/37 4 Red Blinks

I have a Philips 50PF7321D/37 that gives me a 4 blink code when I try to power it on. From what I've read this could be the result of a faulty power supply, is this correct? I have removed the power supply from the TV but haven't noticed any bulging or corroded capacitors (I'm far from an expert here but I've done my fair share of research so far). If I replace the entire power supply (part number 996500033879), will I fix this problem? Thanks so much in advance for any help!

It depends. The information is in the Philips Service Manual. That TV uses the EP1.1U.AA chassis, the service manual is available on Scribd. You can view it online, or download it for a fee. I checked the service manual for a slightly different chassis, and error code 4 indicates an I2C error, which never generates a blink code

I believe I saw in the service manual a run down of what each number of blinks indicates. It said something like 4 blinks = +5V (??), but I'm not sure what that means.

I'm not sure what ssb is. And can I replace it myself?

i had the same problem. ssb is small signals board below the psu. easy enough to replace.

The error codes are discussed on pages 25 and 26 of the manual I linked above. 5V supply is 6 blinks. Error code 4 generates a 3 hz flashing signal.
