Re: Proview loud humming/buzzing sound
So I took a break from my other projects and decided to go back to this tv as it was my primary television....as I was getting ready to take some readings, I pulled the connector going from the power supply to the mainboard and I find a scorch mark at the (V1) standby pin and again on the connection cable. Rather than doing a multimeter test....my first thought was "Don't plug it back in!" I removed the board and did a thorough inspection and could not find anything else burned and the underside of the connector showed no burns. This explains why it went from vertical lines to suddenly no power at all! What would cause this connector to overload/burn? Is the power supply shot?Comment

by valente222Hello friends, I just received this equipment, it has a strange hum on the board. The computer works fine, outputs an image and starts Windows. But the problem is when charging the battery, a constant loop to charge. In short, it never charges the battery. When the charger is connected, the stability of the CPU is stressed and it seems that the coils make that electrical sound louder. This board is modern and I don't have a schematic. I have checked with a microscope and the pcb is completely new. Has anyone had this happen to them before? defect in driver ic?...

by proxneoDear reader
I have been asked to check out a faulty Bose Wave system belonging to a relative. The faulty unit produces loud intermittent pops and crackles. Sometimes there is speaker audio output (FM/AM, CD etc.), most of the time there isn't. This behaviour degraded over time fairly quickly, to the current situation where no sound is put out at all. Gently messing and wiggling wires, connectors or heatsink has no effect in force-replicating the problem. I have little experience in audio repair when it comes to (main)board electronic component faults. Bose repair WAS about 140$ (most...-

by eduaqaI'n trying to fix a M&S SYSTEM DMC-1which have following problem:
I'm using FM station to do this fix, I works perfect if volume below around 8 or if bass is set to zero, the sound can go to 20 without problem, but if I set bass to maximum and try to go over 10 the sound comes distorted ... I saw a video on YouTube the person saying about the main capacitors on the power portion, but I disconnect the main transformer and inject direct to the capacitors PINs my bench power supply -23v 0v +23v, but still distorted so I think the problem is not the capacitor neither the transformer...-

by reessiThe pics are off the other really long thread as they are much clearer than my phone will do.
The fault:
In standby there is no buzzing.
After signal input and turn on, a loud buzzing is emitted from the main transformer, no backlight.
It is because the 24v line is at 21v irrespective of whether the inverter is plugged in. There is a picture on the screen.
If you wait long enough the buzzing stops and the 24v line changes to 24v and the inverter comes on.
I have checked every single cap on the psu and logic board by un-soldering...-

Hello to the forum.
My name is Christos, I am new to the forum here and i am posting from Greece.
So i have this old German sound card from Marian, called Trace Alpha. To be exact i have 2 of them and i use them professionally for my small FM radio station here. The first one works like a charm, but the second one does not work at all.
To be more specific in the same exact pc with windows 7 (i even tried 32bit) the one works while the other doesn't.
So i tried asking for a schematic from the company and they would not give me one. Instead they...-
