    Toshiba 32HL67US sound/good backlights/ black screen

    Toshiba model # 32HL67US chassis # TAC0749
This television will power on, I can here sound and tell the backlights are on but the screen is black.
This one of my first attempts at a television I hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I am really not up to speed on the proper names for all the boards.
I did a search and found what I think may be a similar problem, it was recommended to check and see if the fuse on the Tcon board was good and that it's getting the proper voltage through the fuse.
For right now I just posted an overall shot of the set and if needed I would be more than happy to provide more.
I am just wondering if I should disassemble to get to the Tcon or are there some other things to check first?

Under the ad is the download button. It took me a while the first time I went there to find it.

someone just copied the toshiba online service manunal website which requires a tool to open the files.

          http://www.tv.quuq.org/forum/index.php?topic=3278

tried it and it only seems to work properly on XP and IE6 with loose active X settings.. ridiculous

PDFs (or perhaps I should say the common PDF readers) aren't a particularly good solution when you want to reference several different pages at the same time. Although somehow I doubt Toshiba's solution would be much better.

I don't know if this changes anything but I tried a different input and it has the same effect.
The screen is still dark but you can see that the Backlights are on; it looks different than what I see on a computer monitor when the fuse is blown.

Is this the T-con board? Or what is it?
There were a lot of screws but it wasn't that bad, Fuse #1 has gone open, I have quickly checked so capacitors in its area, and none appear to be shorted, I am hoping I will get lucky and have working TV for the price of a fuse.

I was able to replace the fuse and it dose not go open.
But,I have 3 lines in the screen that i realy wish were not there,Dose this mean it needs a panel?

After runing this for about 1/2 hour the the lines are no longer there.

                          tab bonding issues maybe?
(the connections from the flexcables to the actual glass panel)

Be careful with the link in post #5 ,I ended up with a Searchq search engine and toolbar, the toolbar was easy to get rid of but, it was still buried deep somewhere inside my computer. And it’s very annoying
                              I may have checked a box that I shouldn’t have when I installed it, I don’t know,
                              Just be careful.
