    emerson pl-p42w smashed screen- replacements available?

    Im sure the answer is not only no but hell no, but figured id ask.

    picked up a nice enmerson 42" plasma, but the screen got smashed by a kid throwing a laptop at his mom in anger( lol stupid kids)

    probhably isnt worth the effort but figured i would ask if any of you have found an affordable replacement lcd and plasma display place.

      A kid threw a laptop??? At his Mom??? And killed the plasma??? Your problem isnt going to be how to fix the laptop or the plasma but fix the kid!!! Even if you buy a replacement, he obviously would not respect anything else of yours or hers.

              You won't find a replacement panel for less than $800 for this tv.

                  thats what i figured. and because of the black friday deals on these 2 years ago, everybody hasd a new value of $400 on these lol..

                  thats what i figured. Its good for parts i suppose. Mabye someday ill get lucky and come across another one or one with the same display at least. I figured this was worth $20 just for ccfls and the power supply, etc..

                      Who knows, if you update your profile, someone might live near you that has a 42 LCD to sell. I have one but I live in Pittsburgh PA.

                              Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

                              My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

                              This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                              Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                              Model number is TH-50PZ85U

                              Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

                              Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

                              I also hear a few clicks.

                              I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

                              Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

                              I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

                              Panasonic Plasma screen interference on left half of screen

                              My Panasonic Plasma model P55VT50 has started displaying "interference" on just the left half of the screen only (left when facing the screen). Sometimes it's concentrated in about the first 30 seconds after startup, then disappears. Other times it's fine at startup and then randomly does it later on. When it flashes the interference it's very quick and doesn't stay on the screen unless it flashes repeatedly in a row.

                              Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
                              I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...
