Sony handycam DCR-HC28

hello everyone I hope your all having a good and safe winter

I have this camcorder here that I got a few years ago and a few months after I got it it got dropped on the floor and now the switch to switch it to record mode or charge mode no longer works and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to fix this

I see three choices.

1. Buy a new camcorder. This has the greatest chance of success at a known cost.

2. Google DCR-HC28 repair. Send the camera to one of the sites.

3. Download the service manual. Read it, order the broken part, fix it yourself.

how do I download the manual? I clicked the link that I think was for downloading the manual but it just took me to another page with no download link
