Yes, this is all too familiar. While we appreciate the confidence you show us, we don't really have a crystal ball that would allow us to diagnose the problem without some help on your part.

Note the links in my signature. Attach an overall picture of the rear of the TV (with the back removed), as well as one of each board. Do LOT load them inline, it slows loading the thread.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

Intel PC hooked to X90L television picture cut-off
      by Jackching
I have my Intel PC hooked to my Sony X90L television and each time the power is cycled on the tv, the bottom of the PC screen gets cut-off. Only half of the taskbar shows until i go into display settings and cycle the display size and it'll work fine until the next time I power off the tv. I updated the drivers. The graphics is UHD 630.

      Hi,

I am attempting to repair my television. When I turn it on, it seems to start normally and then the backlight turns off after a couple seconds.

Initially on the main power board I replaced diode D1202 which was shorted, and capacitor C1201 which was bulging. I was still getting some wonky voltages, so also replaced C1204, C1250 on the main board, as well as the filter caps on the LCD module, which were 3 680uf caps in parallel, which I replaced with 2 1000uf caps in parallel.

The tv is still showing the same symptoms, although now...

      Hisense LCD42W60P Television

      Hi Guys,
I have this 2008 lcd tv that uses ccfl lamps. The tv is stuck on standby. This is what I have noticed. The standby 5Vs voltage is not 5V but rather 3.28V. There is a 14V rail as well but that measures ok. I put my volt meter on the 5Vs rail and switch on the 220Vac. I noticed that the 5Vs rail goes to 5.1V and quicky changes to 3 28V and steady.
I unplugged the main board and ccfl lamp wires and tested the power supply separate from the tv without load and put a 470 ohm resistor to the stby rail to force the tv on.

      1986 Fisher television B+ Low
      by drunkendwarf
      Hi guys, i have a 1986 Fisher PC420 television. Chassis #A7R-42000

it works but has no picture width and some barrel distortion. i narrowed it down to low B+ 89volts. service manual says it should be 111volts.

it uses these Sanyo hybrid IC chips for error detection and drive that are discontinued and i cannot find anywhere. i found one post regarding a Sanyo TV with same symptoms and the resolution was the error detect module.

      Part # JU0161 and JU0148

i'm now looking at bypassing that error detect to the optocoupler circuit somehow...
