    LG 55UK6750 PLB ...Help Please

Hello every one . I have in my hands this TV. The status is...
Backlight ON Sound ON Display ...gone .
I tried the easy fix with tape but no luck. The best i could get after using tape on both sides of the ribon was a completely white screen. So the next step was to try find any kinds of shorted capacitors at first.
I found none on the panel boards with the power off . As soon as i turn the tv ON i get from both sides of the panel one capacitor going on each cof short . .
As soon as i remove the left side ribbon for example , the short appears only on the right side and is gone on the left and vice versa.
    Any ideas whta to check?
Could this be a mainboard issue ? No seperate T-Con exists.

I have taken some photos and circled the shorted caps on 2 points and a photo of the mainboard
Any help would be greatly apreciated!!

Unhook the mainboard from the panel, tv unplugged from power, test those caps you refer to in ohm mode, what do you get?

If I'm looking at what I think I'm looking at the board where the ribbon cables are connected but no connectors, that's your address board, or the display panel itself. the tape trick and all that jazz just bypasses shorts in your screen.
BUT backing up and just thinking of your symptoms, I'd suggest main board or tcon as those are the only two that will control the picture other than the screen.

A1312 (27” iMac 2009-2011) A1407 (Thunderbolt Display) A1316 (Cinema Display) Display Black Screen Repair

          Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Is the tape tha covers the shield on the mainboard. when you take it out, loses the adhesive.
          It is very thin.
can somenone help me to find it for a better repair?

IBM LTO 7 Tape Drive - Dust Sensors??
          by RetroComputingGrotto
I have a Quantum SuperLoader robotic tape library that uses an IBM LTO 7 tape drive which is constantly complaining that it needs cleaning. If you insert a cleaning tape, it performs the clean and resets the cleaning counter to 0 hours. It should only require cleaning every 50 or so working hours but after as little as just 1 hours use it requests cleaning. We've purchased a new cleaning tape along with new LTO backup tapes but that has not resolved the problem.

I have taken the library apart and can see no noticeable signs of dust inside. I have removed the tape drive from the...

LG 75UN8570AUD panel issue fixed with tape.
          by triplefour
I've been seeing a lot of the new TVs (samsung and LG only i think) maybe 1-2 years old suffering from sudden panel death and have been over 50% successful bringing them at least most of the way back to functionality if not all the way, with the tape masking of the LVDS pins method.
add this one to the list. the issue was on the left side of the panel and i ended up blocking just 3 pins on the connector that joins the two panel boards that make up the left side of the panel (it has 4 boards total) i didnt get the picture back to 100% perfect. i spent hours fiddling with which pins to block...

Dell Latitude 7420 - Touchscreen not working since Mainboard replacement
          by Mirenia
          Hi everyone,

I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…

In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.

The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled...
