Yes bad labeling i guess, that's what confused me in first place.Thank you for all your help. Only thing left now is to figure out where all the screws go since the tv came with a bag of screws from when the previous person tried to work on this tv and didnt find anything wrong with it so i managed to buy it very cheap

The board shows it as L7201, the L usually suggests an inductor or coil, They should have id it as FB7201, In some cases I have seen a small coil in the panel vcc line, The panel DC supply is not a critical circuit.

The component is ferrite bead, 120 Ohms is impedance at 100MHz.
Inductor is not a substitute for this type.

I followed your advice and installed very thin strand of wire and the tv started right up and works perfectly, i ordered the right part that you suggested and will instal it after it arrives in few days. Thank you both for the help!!

Thank you for the reply, i did check them, only one of them is on the board the other is not populated, the one on the board is not shorted

Thank you for the reply, you are absolutely correct, that the visual inspection can determine if something is bad or not, i will check the components of course but the visual inspection was how i found the burnt inductor. After the your post about the short i measured on the lvds cable to ground on the pins that connect to the burned inductor to see if there any shorts down true the tcon and panel but it didn't had any. I will take the tcon off again and check the elements on it for any shorts.

Thank you for the answer, i was confused why the listed ohm rating for a inductor that's why i wanted to ask for help, i looked over the t-con board and it looks perfectly on visual inspection, no idea about the panel, its not broken anywhere or damaged in any way, the tv starts up and the backlight starts and stays on there is just no picture on the screen, i tested the fuse on the t-con and it was fine, how can i test the t-con and the panel to see if the problem is there. Thank you for your time

I don't know why the call it a 120-ohm, I would just use a 0Ω resistor or a chip fuse in its place or find a similar size chip inductor, But you will have a short either on the t-con board or on the panel, that's why it burnt up.

Here is likely what you want:
    LG EAM38769505 Filter, Bead
    filtre UBW2012-121F 120OHM . 2X1.25X0.85MM 25% 0.04 OHM 5A

  • Help identifing a component on LG eax65040104 main board

Hello everyone, just got an LG 60LA860W that i'm attempting to repair. There is a blown component on the main board eax65040104 circled in red on the picture. After cleaning it i see that its marked L7201, i believe that's an inductor but the value given on the schematic doesn't help me to find a replacement. Can someone help me find a suitable replacement for that component please

Sceptre U550CV-UMR 4K LED, Bad Caps on Main Power Board?
    by Dani_2024
Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

    Sony xbr-65x900c main board issues?
    by jb_Bak
Hey guys great forum glad to have found it. I bought a Sony XBR 65X900C cheaply because it didn't work. No signs of life at all not even a light/led. All I hear is a brief high voltage sound when I throw the power to it.

Didn't see any obvious signs of damage so right away started checking voltages. This is what I see:
Power Board Connector that goes to Main board
    CN6401
    Pin 01 NC
    Pin 02 NC
    Pin 03 "BL_ON": 0V
    Pin 04 "N/C"
    Pin 05 "STBY 3.3V": 3.5V
    Pin 06 "GND": N/C
    Pin 07 "AC_OFF"...

(SOLVED) - ONN 100012588 No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change
    by JDC
    ONN 100012588
Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

    Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....

HP Pavilion 15-eh Board DAG7HAMB8F0 - CPU throttling to 0.4GHz (PROCHOT_EXT) and black screen
    by m1ch43lzm
Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
    by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...
