Hello i would like to start of by saying thank you to all the help


i have a samsung ln32a330j1d a customer gave me because he could not pay for his computer work he had taken this to a local tv repair shop because you could only hear but no picture but i plug it in and now i wont turn on only shows a red led i have open it up here is the photo i see that the repair man took a small chip which i found tape to the tuner cover i believe he change the power supply theres some markings on it

Good luck fixing this set. I'd sell it for parts "AS IS". You, being a tech yourself, know how it is to get something that someone else has already tried to repair.

#1. If the problem that you see today was the original problem, the tech would not have changed out the power supply board.

#2 If that is not the original board, is it compatible? Did it have it's own problems that are being introduced to this set?

If you take it as a project, it may become a costly one. Missing chip???

Again, I'd sell it for parts "AS IS".

ok here is the real info called the customer ask him what was the original issue he said he took it in because it would come on for about 15m and they shut off

So what you are saying is that this set now has two problems. The original problem and now the problem that it wont come on at all now - due to the change in boards and/or the chip that is missing or may not have been there at all to begin with. Start with the blinking LED on front. Does it blink at a certain rate? Some will blink a code in which designates the current failure of the set. You would then need the Service manual to tell you what each code means.

By the way, Can you take clearer pictures of each board please
