ok so the technology recycler/computer repair shop i work at got in a viewsonic 32" lcdtv. (not exactly sure of model since im at home at its there.
i could probably get it for cheap, because even though it works there is one problem. the problem is that if you just give the power button a normal psuh, the power led will blink for a second.
but if you hould it down for like 10 seconds, then it will llight up (bright), then a few seconds later the led will dim down as the screen turns on. then it works fine (i havnt left it on longer than 2 mins but i think it wil then just stay on. the person who fixes lcds at renew computers (the name of where i work), he said that he says if its ok with the boss i could have it for cheap cu even though he says its probably just a bad startup cap on the power board he doesnt wnna bother with it cuz he is busy with a few other projects right now. so woul it be a wise inveestment to buy it then see if there are obvious blown caps?
