This is TVS DIODE, they stand in the protection of the IC601 Spi Flash lines, and if there is no short on these lines, then they are more likely to be alive.

And yet, did you have a short on the 3.3v line and the protection worked, after you removed the IC601, did you lose the short and did the TV turn on without rebooting?

Yes it did stop looping, post #60.

Well then, no programmer will help to read data from spi flash if it is short.

I think Diah wants me to check and confirm IC601 is bad using the programmer

it still early to judge.. he need to put it on programmer then it will tell us its short or not... his value read are low to me,, but we need to be more sure..

No, I would leave it out, don't remember how these are tested, I did see the datasheet somewhere tho.

did you order it with clip add ?? because clip much easy to use and good for future use

So, what is there to guess, just measure the resistance between 4 and 8 pin., if there is a low resistance, then spi flash into the trash.

Oh, crap, I get it now, somehow I got it confused with those damn problematic diode packs from other samsung models.

of course not. this just belong to this threat and his issue.
at time he removed IC 601 no more reboot
measured pins 8 and 4 on chip where 4 on + and 8 on - read very low R. i don't know what are the really value to read.. this why we will use programmer help to tell us if this short or not.

So the programmer will not start and will not be able to read the data if there is a short on Vcc 3.3v for spi.

exactly... if the programmer failed we will have the answer.

It is possible to put a clean spi flash (empty, FF FF ...) for the experiment, that in some models they are without data (empty), in other models they already come with data.

its better if he upload very clear photo of the chip area to see pins 123 67 where to go to understand the porpoise of DT601 / 602 and most important pin 6 SCLK so will find way to block the clock

I grabbed the wrong data sheet, looks like it was for the 8 pin package not 6.

All of these 6 pins go through the protection diodes and out to the control points.
