Hi guys, i have a Sony home theater which is currently on Protect mode, SD ERR code which is the power supply. I tested the voltages across the pins and its higher than rated. Suppose to be 14V but showing 20V instead, 6V showing as 9V instead. With or without load, its the same. Model is dav-dz840k. Any idea why this is happening? I have attached the service manual with this post. All the voltages seems bizarre on the power board while measuring.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by Jembanggood day hoping someone can lend a hand, im repairing smart tv 50 inch, status when turning on back light is dim but you can see the tv logo then slowly fading out to black, i check the supply to tcon, i only read 5+v, must be 12v, i removed lvds cable and check voltage to mainboard turned on its also 5v, then i remove the cable mainboard to power supply, i read 12v in power supply, thinking that the problem is in the mainboard, coz theres 12v in power supply, i also check while turning on checking volts in main board 12v dropping to 5v, im just new repairing in TV, hope someone see my post t...

by Green Probe(TLDR: It was capacitor C6519 [Koshin KZH 50V22uF] and C6515 [Koshin KZH 25V47uF] on the power supply. I have questions at the end)

Always use caution when working around mains power and high voltage capacitors!
Hey guys, I'm repairing a Denon AVR X6400h for my brother. It quit powering on after a power outage. It acted like this last time there was an outage, but after letting it sit overnight it started working again for a few years. This time letting it sit did not bring it back.

by SoporteHRGreetings to all, I hope you are well.
I consult you because I have a problem with this power source.
The TV when it is connected to the electrical power turns on the blue light but does not give an image. the source is heard a hum.
When I disconnect the power from the TV plates and power it up by itself, the hum goes away.
I have the STB voltages of 5vdc. The microcontroller is powered with said voltage and the main board LED lights up.
but not the 12v or 17v ones, nor the 300vdc high voltage voltages, nor the VS or VA....06-20-2023, 04:30 AM - Loading...
