Help Identifying Component Q2 - Miller d302K 3+12 Diesel Engine Driven Welder

Hello, I am trying to identify a damaged component on a Miller d302K 3+12 Diesel Engine Driven Welder Voltage Regulator board. The board itself is labeled Assembly # 214954. The board is modular but can't find an easy replacement.

There is a component that is damaged that I cannot identify due to it being damaged. It is marked as Q2 on the board. I've included a link to the technical manual, but it doesn't give much detail, at least none that I can understand.

Can anyone could help me identify this component? I've tried to get as good of a picture of it as I can.
The only visible letters on it are what appears to be a Z on the first line and a 6 on the second. Of course that could be a 9 and a Z.

    Thank you for you time.

Have you tried to remove the top of the ic chip so you can read more of the part number but use a pick type tool and very carefully remove what looks like some type of glue on the top of the ic chip

I will take a guess at ZXMP6A17G You should be able to clean off that material, If that transistor was bad I would expect more damage like a large hole in it.

You guys are awesome! I will remove the chip and check it out. I'm willing to bet though that ZXMP6A17G is the one.
