Actually, is there a vsense wire or anything for the 5v and 12v... and if so, are they visible in the above pictures?

      Hi All

Ok can't help you with the chip 20 pin humm maybe a custom job?
or more likely a standard job they removed the numbers off

If you have done as suggested above and still no go

I had a few supplies I repaired a while back so can't recall the full story.
So don't know what chip they used

The problem was they were not regulating under load, if memory serves me
      Anyway.
Turns out the answer was a 10uF cap near the controller chip
(part of the circuit some how....old age memory fading LOL)

These were smpsu. for very large printers

So if you haven't check and or replace the lower values around the controller chip...as you say most likely that big baby.

Thats my wet finger in the air reply and not the voice of experience....
      but hope it helps......

not familiar with these supplies so cant really be of much help.

Didn't read through the whole post so I may have missed something

since it seems you have several different units acting up i bet its a combination of insufficiant load and an inaccurate meter.
if you want to ship these units to me i can fix them up.
but i suggest you get a way to load these units and buy or borrow another meter first.

I appreciate the offer, however I have two meters which show the same readings within .02v and the supply is under load, which I mention on my post to this thread from 01-16-07. Also, all the other supplies I mention have been successfully recapped (pathetically all the others are antec)... anyways this is my only power supply that I can't seem to bring back within spec... and considering it was probably less then $30 new less than a year ago...
