Hello Guys, I would like to ask for help to anyone that has a Schematic and Boardview of Asus GX650PY, Basically I messed up when I was cleaning the fans and heatsink of the Laptop and made some drop of Liquid Metal in the Board. It cause a short, I already located the precise location of the short through measuring the resistance of all Inductors, the problem is that I cannot push through without knowing the schematic/board view of the Laptop. Also, I can inject a power through the Main Power Rail and see with a thermal camera the short because the short is also on the Main Power Rail, but I am afraid of messing other things up in the Main Power Rail.
Any Help would be appreciated. Thanks for the time and consideration. -

hi i would like to ask if anyone has a boardview for asus rog zephyrus duo 16 model ryzen 9 6900hx and rtx 3080ti short 1.8v branch i guess cpu but i'm not sure. the laptop starts but without a picture and the cpu heats up. the laptop was covered in liquid metal. thanks for any help.Comment

Sadly, I cannot find it on digikey, mouser, rs-online, or even JLCPCB. I think you could find a replacement for this chip in donor boards only, or on ebay/aliexpress (but last time I check I could not find it there either).
Could you please perhaps share the measurements of the Voltage Rails on your unit? Thank you in advance. As I think I will need to do a CPU Replacement on my unit, and I will need a reference for the VDDIO_MEM_S3 Rail. When I get back home I will share an updated image to reflect all non-affected rails on my unit, so that you could also use it.Comment

I managed to get the IC chip, I have to wait until it arrives, so far I used the syv738arhc chip but no change, still no image. The short circuit was caused by liquid metal, the CPU was shorted, after replacing the CPU, still no change, still black screen but no short circuit. I will try to wait for the original chip. The GPU does not start at all, it stays turned off, probably in a boot loop.

Did you check if you have the correct voltages on all Power Rails? Did you try to reflash the BIOS on the flash chip, some laptops that I see on youtube after replacing the PCH Chip needed to reflash the BIOS on the chip, maybe it is applicable on GX650PY as the PCH Chip are on the CPU itself and you replace it?Comment

The voltages on the sheets should be fine, I think the gpu won't turn on until the system initialization is complete. I'm just not sure what the voltages on VDD_MEM_S3 should be, I have 1.1V there and 0.8V on VDD_MEM. The cpu was replaced, the whole short circuit on VDD_MEM_S3. I didn't try the BIOS, I couldn't get a working one on my board. Maybe the bios from gx650pi/py would work there, hard to say, but probably not, since there is a newer cpu, but I'm not sure. As for the bios, I don't know if the PCH change only applies to intel cpu.Comment

I do not know if the boardview of GX650PI is also applicable to GX650RX because of different Architecture (Zen3+ for 6900HX vs Zen4 for 7945HX) that can lead to also different pin layout, I am not an expert on this so correct me if I am wrong.
Also, maybe you could verify the RAM?
Checking the IC U3001 (IT5125 Super IO Chip), it is the one powering up the GPU, but without the schematic diagram of this motherboard in the Power Sequence we cannot know if the Super IO Chip turns on the GPU alongside the CPU or after the initialization is complete.Comment

Does anyone have a full BIOS dump of the ASUS Zephyrus Duo 16 (2023) GX650PY? It is an AMI Aptio 5 BIOS, but seems to be read-protected within the OS and I do not have a compatible programmer:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

I have this very stubborn ASUS mobo on the bench, and I already face the wall with it. It just refuses to POST, although everything seems to be OK.
The situation looks like this:
After connecting the board to the power supply on Nuvoton (SLP_S3#, pin 64), the Low signal (50 ohm resistance) appears immediately. PWRNTN# signal goes through Nuvoton to the chipset (confirmed after removing the chipset). The following conditions are then met for the chipset to generate the SLP_S3# signal:
