lapfix file in Post #15 is fine, I think if that file doesn't work we will not be able to do anything else.
Your device has 12th Gen HX CPU, CSE ME Version (16.1) and we can't clean ME Region for that version yet.

Is this still the case with this CSE ME version?. I've just re-downloaded the repository of ME stuff and I don't see that version in there. Additionally ME Analyzer is not detecting engine firmware in my dump.

Not going to lie, I've been plodding my way through hacking together bios' that work in the 100s of laptops that I need to fix. But my smoothbrain is definitely approaching it's limit... Most of the laptops I'm encountering are not passworded, although some are, the main issue that I have been fighting are in devices that have not been properly retired from an Entra Tenant (not really sure of terminology as I'm not a current enterprise Sysadmin,) Anyway for whatever reason it seems like reflashing the bios chips for other various models has been working although I'm not really sure why. It may be that the windows license is stored in the ME region? Sorry for what might have been an off topic ramble. I would really love to figure out the fast way to do what I'm doing but haven't really been able to wrap my head around it yet.

DELL PRECISION 7670 was working fin was turn on with a BIOS password, but after backing up the BIOS BIN to remove the password, the laptop not turns on; neither no display, no fan running.
Just the power button with a white LED and it turns off after 40 seconds.

I flashed the original BIOS, but still doesn't work.

ST# number does not appear on the case; it has been erased or removed, or the case cover has been changed.

Hi all,

Got this Dell Precision 7670 on the bench:

Board: HDC50 LA-L882P Rev 1.0
S/N: 25TVSQ3

Symptom:
When plugging in the charger, the LED flashes once and then goes off. No power, no POST.

What I checked so far:

• Board inspected under microscope, no visible damage
• No schematic available for this board
• No shorts found on main rails
• 3.3V and 5V rails are present
• On plug-in, 5V comes up briefly, but drops when the board attempts to start

There’s a chance it was interrupted during a BIOS update, but I can’t confirm that.

Could someone please take a look at the BIOS dump(s) and fix/rebuild if needed?

I had cases when incorrect or partial patch makes this kind of issue.
