i have dell la-g717p the mec1418 ic was heating when i got the laptop and 3v was short.after changing the ic the board is powering on but i got no display and led is blinking in 3 amber 5 white continously.do i have to reprogram the io chip.if so please provide me with the bin file.i have attach the backup of both 8 mb and 16 mb bios.please help

Any updates on this, I have the same 3 Orange 5 White flashes.
There was a short to ground on 5V rail. I replaced DC/DC switch (it was cracked possibly exploded) and fan capacitor as it was shorted to ground. The short is now fixed however there is still the same LED codes. No obvious signs of something wrong.Comment

I have this laptop a dell XPS 13 9310

Hi everyone
I have this Dell Inspiron 5567 laptop that shows 2 amber 6 white error when I try to turn it on it's fan starts to work at very high speed even though I just turned it on and laptop is cold, screen is black but it shows very dim lines for less than a second when I click on power button. I used it like 4 years and I got this error so I didn't used it for last 3 years.
The error it gives is for motherboard chipset issue.
I Read some topics that something is wrong with bios but I don't really know how to flash the bios using another bios file. So I really appreciate... -

Got this in today,
no signs of life.
found a broken charging port- after replacing it, the laptop turns on and charges the battery.
Trying to turn it on, laptop powers up, capslock is on and not responding, no image on the screen. Indicator led is flashing with 3 amber 1 white.
CPU and GPU are very hot, so laptop has all the required voltages.
Cmos battery is okay ~2.9v which supposed to be okay.
Could it be a bios problem?... -
