Sorry for the late reply, everyone!
I have two Latitude 5410 models on my bench: one 8th Gen and one 10th Gen. During the process, I accidentally made a mistake and the 10th Gen laptop wouldn't turn on at all after flashing.
At first, I assumed the BIOS file was corrupted and that I needed to clean the ME region to fix it. However, it turned out to be a hardware issue. I desoldered the chip, verified the connections, and flashed the exact same BIOS file a second time. After doing a proper, clean solder job back onto the motherboard, the laptop turned on and worked perfectly.
The issue is now completely resolved!

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -

Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop.
