You chose the wrong bios chip, 25Q80DVSIG is not a bios chip.

You are right. Excuse my stupidity, I'm completely new to the subject.

I think I have found the right chip (winbond 25R256JVEQ).

I connected my ch341-programmer same way like the other chip and tried to detect the chip via neoprogrammer. Unfortunately I only get the message: “IC not responding”.

So unfortunately I am not able to read the BIOS from the chip.
              Am I doing something wrong?

              Greetings

don't use the clip, remove the bios chip from the case before writing or reading..if you don't have something to solder the wires between the programmer and the chip..

                  Thank you for your answer.
Is there no other way than to desolder the chip? Unfortunately I don't have the necessary equipment like the hot air soldering iron and the knowledge to do this.

A WSON8 pogo adapter but they are just as unreliable as the SOP8 clips.

                            Hello everyone,
                            Lenovo Thinkpad E14 gen2
                            Board GE4B0/GE5B0 NM-D011 rev 1.0
                            SN PF2HRFX9
                            maybe someone can help me.
After numerous attempts to program with different versions of T8227E-256 and 25R256JVEQ, I got a stable result, the laptop turns on, the processor heats up, the cooler turns on, but there is no image
I am 100% sure that my problem is in the wrong BIOS
Perhaps the 256 KB dump is also faulty
My old BIOS is 256 Kb and 32768 KB
                            Thanks
