good, now 2nd step: upload your bios backup or follow SMDFlea advice. Search for text "A315" in hex editor and you'll figure out where to insert your serial.

I've tried several BIOS versions, including changing the EC BIOS. With the original BIOS, the current draw is a constant 900mA. With the other BIOS versions I've tried, it powers on without a display, drawing 500mA. I tried changing the EC BIOS to a 41G version, and the symptoms changed: it powers on without a display, stays on for about 10 seconds, then shuts off and powers on again in a loop. I changed the EC BIOS back to a 41 version, and it powers on without a display, drawing a constant 500mA. I'll leave the original BIOS and the EC BIOS in place (I think the KB9022QD is the one failing; what can I measure on this component?).
