Sorry i`m new to this.
i've tried some of the files in here but the ch341a is giving not responding when i try to program the chip. i have the original bios from dell website but is exe file. is that gonna work if i convert in bin file? thank you
if nothing works or im doing something wrong and ive destroyed the chip can i buy an preprogram one and solder it back? this will clear the pass right?
If i have the exact match donor motherboard can use the bios from it? thank youComment

Update, ive replace the bios chip with one from exactly the same motherboard same rev all working apart from the ssd not being detected. any suggestion ?? thank youComment

Upload the backup from that replacement chip, you need to clean ME region otherwise it won't detect SSD, long boot time among other issues
Make sure you read the chip 2-3 times and compare the readings, should be identicalComment

i managed to write it with another file but im getting this error when i try to verify ic.
Update. ive write the original chip with file attached and it worked. i had to insert service tag manually but now windows installed and working fine. Thank you very much for your help guys!!!!Attached FilesPremium supporters get full download access and other benefits.

Hello, I have a device with boot problems; it only shows one white LED and six amber LEDs. I tried the file from post 1057 and the device powers on, but there is no audio. I am sharing the corrupted backup; I don't have a service tag.

It works perfectly with this bios if i unlock with 8FC8 tool, it works but no M.2 storage but i can boot from USB. Experts please have a look.Comment

Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
Dell latitude 5580, motherboard cdp 80 la-e151p
3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"

I try plugging charger while pressing ctrl+esc, machine turns on, nothing and after 20 seconds it gives 3 amber 3 white blinks again.

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, π π π ... -
