Hello, I have a Dell Latitude 5420 stuck on the Dell Security Manager message on startup, I can't do anything. Here is my BIOS and what I assume is ME (32MB for BIOS and 1MB for ME). If someone could remove my BIOS password for me so I can reflash it afterwards. It's an 8FC8. ST/SN: JSJW5D3 Thanks.

Bootable device not found, is it required to exit manufacturing mode to detect M.2 SSD.

No manufacturing mode does not prevent M.2 SSD detection. Enter BIOS settings and check Storage or Boot sections...

There is not issue with this, only option available is uefihttpsboot. Not even showing other options in boot selection.

Thank you for the feedback. You were absolutely right about the corruption.

I discovered the root cause. I was incorrectly reading the W25R256JVEN chip at 1.8V. I have since verified that this specific board uses a 3.3V logic level for the BIOS.
Unfortunately, because I have already attempted to write to the chip, I cannot provide a clean "Read Again" of the original data.

Does anyone have a Full 32MB Donor Dump for this motherboard (LA-K491P) with a Clean ME?

I have my Raspberry Pi 3 programmer now verified at the correct 3.3V level. I am ready to flash a donor file and will manually re-configure my service tag in the BIOS menu once the board is booting.
Thank you for your patience and help!

Issue here, I tried with rex98 8FC8 tool system is booting to bios but no SSD being detected. Rex provided clean ME bios & i myself tried all the versions to clean me.
With initialized bios its booting to bios with NO ssd & with configured bios its in 3amber & 6whites state.

Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.

I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...
