I had used the https://github.com/chromebreakerdev/DellBIOSTools script, but it gives me an error, that the Intel signature not found.
Think i perhaps know why, wanted to read the bios file with my EZP2019 programmer and pushed the wrong button 😣 (AUTO > auto recognize the chip brand and size).Attached FilesPremium supporters get full download access and other benefits.

Hi guys, I have a latitude 5420 here, I've done a few but this one is proving to be an issue.
I successfully removed the admin password with the 8FC8 patcher (although it seems to change entries in more than two locations?).
I was under the impression the 8FC8 patcher only edited two strings, when I use it on this dump it edits 4.
Chip resoldered, laptop boots but NVME not detected, from a bit of reading this could be a corrupt ME region?
Can anybody help please?
I have uploaded the original locked dump, so if somebody could remove the admin password and repair the ME I would be forever grateful, thank you.

Hello everyone,
I have a Dell Latitude 5420 (tested without HDD) and I’m running a diagnostic tool such as Aiken Workbench. The problem is that the tool detects the onboard LAN card, but it shows the message:"no working driver for it"
and the test result is NO Driver.
Interestingly, when I install Windows, the LAN card works perfectly fine, which confirms that the hardware itself is okay. I have tried multiple cables and diagnostic environments, but the result is the same.
For comparison, I have a BIOS dump from a working unit and another from the problematic unit. The file sizes are identical. I suspect the issue might be related to a missing or corrupted PXE/UEFI network driver module in the firmware.
My questions:- Has anyone experienced this issue before?
- What are the recommended steps to add the proper LAN driver to a diagnostic/WinPE environment, or to safely repair the firmware?
- If no solution can be found, I would appreciate it if any expert who knows how to fix this fault could contact me privately to suggest the right approach.
Thank you in advance for your help.Comment

by TopPopSorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
by SathsulSo, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...-

by TripTopHi
i have dell latitude E7270 with following symptoms:
- takes long time to restart.
- sometimes powers on and then off
- sometimes while working it just dies,
From googling online bios clean could possible resolve this?
i was able to save bios and was going to try bios clean myself but get an below error when i drop it in ME analyzer.(unsure whether this sometimes occurs or could be due to bad/corrupt bios)
As ME analyzer gave me an error i just decided to write bios with a cleaned bios from E7270 bios post.
I reinstall...-

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
- External display (HDMI) shows
