Thank you ..but infortanally didn't work !
The lap get on , full speed fan for more than a 1 minute...then restart...fan full speed then off...nothing after...must unplug the charger for the lap to get on again and same behaviour mentioned before !
this is the original file...with 8fc8 pasword...maybe at the unlock procedure something happen.( Unlock do it by vesko = Big thanks..the lap work one time only after i get the behaviour mentioned before )..can you please unlock it and clean me...thank youLast edited by lapfix; 07-28-2022, 03:51 AM.Comment

Not with mine or with your laptop does not turn on, but all the voltages are there. I downloaded the bios on another forum with a clean me, the laptop turns on, an image appears and turns off and does not turn on anymore.

Your backup is not good the compressed file is only 61.4 KB ,if you look at the other backups in this thread you will see that they are at least 11MB in size.
The filesize before being compressed might be 32MB but it is mostly all zeros, look at the code with a hex editor

I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical. I threw in the display and my hypothesis was correct, however, I was greeted with a locked BIOS and since I didn't know the password, I figured I'd try to unlock it somehow. * BIOS Status: I successfully modded the BIOS file and created FINAL_CLEANED_ME.bin (32MB) with a clean ME region (CSME 15.0), because the original dump was corrupt.... -
Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
