Dell 5280, broken BIOS (boots only into bios recovery) with password.

    Hello,

I have Dell Latitude 5280, device blinks BIOS recovery error. If booted with proper pendrive, boots into recovery but asks for admin password.

Serial is GCDFLH2, since I don't get usual prompt I don't know the "suffix". From dump I assume it is -2A7B. However using password from generator on recovery prompt doesn't seem to work for me (using ctrl+enter for input).

I attached the image, UEFItool definitely complains about checksum issues. Maybe someone is able to fix the image or at least remove the password?

Thank you, indeed this one boots and it is clean (no password).

Though it also lost all machine details - service tag (that I was able to program at first boot) and, from what I can tell - embedded windows licence key.

Is it possible to just fix the checksums somehow, without password removal? If I understand correctly then it should boot successfully in regular mode and I could use master password generator as usual.

Or maybe I am wrong, as I see SLIC table, but in original dump there was key too (starting with RNB4J). Maybe this is enough, as Win10 activated online without any issues?

I need Lenovo yoga 6 13ARE05 bios- broken screen and no bright light on keyboard
            by BlueNitesFire
So I couldn't remember my bios password and since it was broken screen, I used to connected to the TV via Type C to HDMI. So I decided to remove the Bios chip and reprogram the Bios chip with ch314a.. when I try to solder Bios on the laptop, one of the Bios leg broke off.. I bought a new blank Bios chip so I can programmed by flashing on the bios.

            Lenovo IdeaPad 330 15-AST 81D6 BIOS Recovery
            by jendkkd jeje
So a couple of years ago i got a bios update through Lenovo Vantage, so i installed it and bricked my whole BIOS, so i couldn't fix it so i put that ideapad in a box, 3 years later i found that one PC and want to recover it to switch from a 2014 hp laptop to this one.

I found a method to recover the BIOS of many lenovo laptops tha consists in pluging in a USB Flash with the BIOS files and power on the laptop with Fn + R keys pressed until fans go loud and start beeping loud, but nothing worked, so i think filename is wrong, i tried naming the bios file as 07WW.BIN, BIOS.BIN, BIOS.fd,...

            ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
            by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
            Some issues
            A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

            Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
            by Wahaz
            Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

After bios recovery by pen drive HP15s eq0007AU display flashing a light for short time.
            by ikelectro
            Schematic : DAOP5EMB6E0 REV:E

I have tried manually flashed the bios, also tried hp bios recovery tools to recover the bios. But no luck. Display is not coming, 3 to 4 times recovery display is coming if I tried to recover by pen drive[win+ B]. But after restarts it goes to dark screen and a light is flashing after a certain time in the display + fan speeds increasing and decreasing. I have tried almost every bios for this motherboard avaiable in the internet.
Any help or guide to proceed?...
