The bios is corrupt, make another backup. The serial number is for an A515-56G ,the bios type for that is FH4AT . Check the motherboard model number again , is it FH5AT or FH4AT

        Ispravljena verzija:
Too late, I already flashed the chip, and it seems the chip was faulty because I couldn't erase it at first. Then it took only 10 seconds to erase, which seemed too short, so I tried erasing it again. After that, it locked up and I couldn't stop the program. I resoldered it to rule out any loose connections, but the result was the same. I also tried a different programmer with the same outcome. Then I took another chip and erased/flashed it without any problems. Unfortunately, I don't have a better backup copy.

Make another backup and compare it to the bios you flashed, see if it looks corrupt. Check the bios with MEAnalyzer as well, it should have initialised the ME firmware. Try another bios chip , flash the EC , if that doesn`t make any difference then it will have some other problem.

I know, i want you to backup the current bios that you flashed to the chip and compare it with the file you flashed see if it looks corrupt. Check the current bios backup with MEAnalyzer as well, it should have initialised the ME firmware , if it`s still Configured then the bios chip isn`t being read/written to

The issue with the original chip was that it was faulty...with it the laptop drew only 0.083A at power on and went back to 0.17A, then i tried to read it and got what i got,and then tried erasing it and it was giving me trouble, wouldn't erase ,and then next time it said erased after just 10 seconds, then third time it locked the neoprogrammer,it was recognized, and i did read from it and made a backup, but it was something wrong with the chip obviously since the dump is corrupted and it wouldn't erase...I got heaps of donor boards and i took the other 128Mbit chip from some donor board and it erased succesfully and programmed and now i have everything going ,but no picture, the board starts and draws around 2A now and it resets a few times (4 or 5) and the sixth time it stays off, then i press the power button, fan spins ,proc is getting warm, all voltages present, but shuts down to 0.17A and then starts at 2A again ,probably charging...So i think it's either the bios or ddead GPU,but not likely the GPU,

The motherboard is FH5AT . Someone has replaced the base cover from a different laptop or the FH4AT motherboard has been swapped with the FH5AT

It matters on Intel platforms, MXIC branded BIOS chip won't work in this laptop, only the specific ones in the list (Winbond, Gigadevice, XMC, EON)

The other dump from post 3 on the thread I linked looks like it's from a working laptop and has Initialized ME region (not clean), if it works it may take long time to boot and won't detect SSD, you need to clean ME region on that one first

It's the same board and BIOS for 14" and 15" models it seems
Checked the BIOS for the A515-55 (not G) and the BIOS is also the same (labeled FH4AT in BVDT), even if the board is labeled FH5AT... (The schematics are labeled FH7AT/FH5AT/FH4AT LA-K092P)

                              Hello everyone,
I need help with my Acer Aspire 5920G laptop. Its original GeForce 8600M GT graphics card failed, so I replaced it with an Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT MXM card.

**Problem:** The laptop powers on, but there is no display (black screen) on either the internal LCD or external monitor. This indicates a BIOS compatibility issue with the new graphics card.

                              Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:

                              by zarabota
                              Hello,

I am experiencing the following issue with my laptop. I have an Acer Aspire A717-71G with a motherboard model C5MMH/C7MMH LA-E911P Rev. 1A. Unfortunately, the original board stopped working, so I purchased a replacement. The new board is the same model but a different revision (Rev. 1B). From what I understand, this should not cause compatibility problems.

However, the replacement board came with a BIOS version intended for the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-51, which causes the keyboard to function incorrectly. I attempted to reflash the BIOS chip using a CH341A programmer...

                              Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details
