Hello all, I was wondering what chip has the bios password on it
is it on the w25q256 or is it on the npce388 chip?.
I have had a repair come in and I do not have a programmer for the
npce388 chip yet. before I start on it, will it be a waste of time
without the programmer for the npce388.

Hello Sir,
I am very new to this space. I have read some forums and I think I know what to do next. Can you please confirm if what I am saying is correct.
I am also facing the same issue where after updating the bios, my laptop is not starting and its the same model as the one in the question. theres nothing on the screen and the caps lock key is on and the fans are on. I am pretty sure its a bios issue. So what I need to do is
1) download the Flex 5-14ITL05.rar file and extract it.
2) Then open asprogrammer and open the 32MB .bin file and then flash the chip using ch341 right?
can you please confirm if what I said is correct. Also if theres a similar solution where the steps are explained in detail, could you point me towards that forum post.
I have been really worried about my laptop as I just bought it around a year ago and just a few months after the warranty is over, I am facing this problem. IT WOULD BE A HUGE HELP IF YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHAT I NEED TO DO.

I’m hoping someone can help me locate a verified original BIOS dump for my Acer laptop.
This is NOT a BIOS password removal request.
I’m looking for an original 32MB SPI BIOS dump to use as a reference in case my BIOS firmware is corrupted. My plan is to first dump and back up my own BIOS as soon as my programmer arrives. I am not planning to blindly flash someone else’s BIOS.

This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.
I got it second hand in this state and all the normal attempts at bios restoration have not worked. I have even desoldered the chip and tried to load the actual BIOS from HP, but it is missing some parts needed to boot the system.
