I have an Laptop Lenovo ThinkPd L13 Yoga Gen 2 20VL-S1JC1E, sn: PW-00JNSS, and i think there is a problem with the bios. The laptop is turnin on but only power light and Esc Fnlock light are on an is making a strange sound. I've uploaded the files.

Hello.

I have a ThinkPad L13 Gen2 (Type 20VJ) with motherboard:

• LAR-2 MB
• 19837-1
• 448.0LL10.0011
• FRU: 5B20Z46275

Current symptoms:

• When AC adapter is connected:
  • Esc / CapsLock / F1 / F4 LEDs blink 3 times
  • then stay lit briefly
  • then only Esc remains lit
  • melody beep sound plays
  • fan spins briefly only during beep
• No display output
• Same behavior every boot

Power measurements:

• Standby: ~0.75W
• Power button pressed: ~3W

Voltage measurements:

• 5V rail present
• 1.8V rail present
• Some CPU-side coils remain at 0V even after pressing power button
• Resistance to ground on those 0V coils is around 72Ω (not shorted)

Things already tried:

• CMOS reset
• Battery disconnected
• BIOS reflash using CH341A
• RAM area reflow
• CPU-side reflow (light heat only)
• Reseating cables

Important:

The BIOS I flashed was a random dump from the internet, so I am not sure it matches this exact board.

I still have my original BIOS dump backup.

Could someone help me with:

• checking whether this is likely BIOS/EC related
• rebuilding/cleaning my original dump
• or providing a confirmed clean BIOS for this exact board?

Hi, I´ve nearly the same problem with the L13 gen2 20VK.

what beep sound are you getting? 4 beeps?

My board boosts to 19V, 3 blinks on the power button and try to boot. but after a few seconds it start again and stay at about 0.025 Amp.

CPU/PCH is getting warm.

Already tried a fresh bios, but that doesn´t change anything.
