Boot the Mac from the USB tool,then the Mac reboot dirrectly,no nothing!

I Use RUFUS to create USB stick with download img file and my Mac is 2010 Mid 13 Macbook pro.

Hi,

First off, I'm not a specialist, at best an amateur, and just hoping for some sanity check with you guys.

A quick summary after 5 days of checking power rails and forums and board schematics (*I don't give up and can't afford a new mac):
- found that macos security update has flashed wrong fw on the rom just before I installed a fresh ifixit battery
- the fw installed was for macos 7.1 - 2006 ( have this in installation logs and pictures of os system and ofc no battery would be managed by wrong controller fw)
-all hw components were fine;
-re-installed new os, was lucky enough to get correct efi fw on it (the 443.140.2.0.0);
- serial number was missing so I decided to use this software to flash serial number on it;
- it looked fine after this flashing then I rebooted back into the OS Recovery mode and it confirmed the correct serial applied. I decided to have it shutdown instead of moving ahead with recovery proces. Now nothing is loading.

No POST, no recovery, nothing.

I have this mac since 2015. I really hate giving apple money.

I wouldn't have thought the software would kill your Mac.
It's worked well for me.

I'd open a new thread for this issue and report your voltage readings and S states.

Hi,

Too many variables here, so not sure if this sw has fried the efi rom or maybe a wrong sequence missed by me (thinking maybe I should have done a PRAM reset at first reboot).

Just soldered a new rom correctly programmed and with sn written on it from ebay (my first solder so won't embarrass myself by posting pictures here ).

And it's alive. just needs an os re-install.

But long story short it all started with me not blocking that "apple security update" that set fw 162.X.X.X instead of 443.X.X.X.X

I'll make time to gather all logs and print screens I've documented and post this in some forums.

This BBS does not work on the 2009-2011 Mac.
Can't make mods with older versions of BBS?(ex. 3T106 version)

I can't figure out how to make the usb tool, please help! I just see two img files and a folder but nothing seems to allow me to make a bootable disk image, can't get Rufus b/c no windows just Mac OS

It really works, I restored the serial number on Air 2015. USB only with RUFUS
