Good day all, I have a Latitude 5400 that doesn't power on at all, keyboard lights up and it turns off after 15-20 seconds or so. I'm thinking it could be a BIOS issue as I have already tried replacing all other parts.
Model: Dell Latitude 5400
SN: H59P3X2
Board: EDC41LA-G892P
REV: 1.0 (A00)
PWB: R0R0W
Has one 32MB flash chip, which I dumped with flashrom.
Thank you for your helpAttached Files

Hi all,
I am new to this forum which I am finding very usefull, and as many other users I am looking into fixing Laptops which are protected by BIOS password.
Fixing Laptops is kind of a hobby for me in the spare time.
I was reading all 4 pages and was not able to ton identify information that I need. I am reading other thread ( Dell Latitude 5400 Bios password), but didnt reach beyond page3 as o now . I've read the " BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools" section as well.
I have few DELL 5400 which have administrator password and some of the BIOS sections are locked.
First issue I am facing is that I am not able to identify the CHIP I have to read cause on the motherboard there is a UC5 (25B64CYiG) and an UC6 (25B127DS1G) and UT6 (25Q80DVSIG)
I was trying to clip the UC6 (25B127DS1G) to CH341 but is not recognized.
Second, I am not sure CH341 is good enough to read the BIOS and post it here.
Model: Dell Latitude 5400
Reg typr No: P98G001
Board: EDC41LA-G891P
REV: 1.0 (A00)
SERVICE TAG: 7404yy2 or 74o4yy2 (not sure )
Thanks
