I know there is a second BIOS chip but I couldn't dump it using probe pins and my soldering isn't great so I was wondering if there is a method using 32MB only, as above.

1) Flash bios
2) very important: Go to Bios and reset to factory default (FIRST MAIN PAGE TAB)
3) restart and enter bios
4) Write Original DMI DATA:

The solutions offered by professionals in Badcaps (BIOS) are few, no more than 4 or 5 who eventually visit the forum. The problem is the duplicators of solutions, offering the same without any knowledge, not always works or will be the best option, unfortunately further distancing the requester of the solution.

What I fear is item number 3, if the laptop has no MPM information left eg Feature bit.. it cannot be restored.

The problem in Badcaps has currently been knowledge-free statements that further distance the solution for the requesters.

It is not necessary, the best option to unlock this model BIOS (32Mb).

1. No need to disassemble the entire laptop (BIOS is located on the top board).
2. No aggressive alterations (only the MPM data will be temporarily disabled)
3. After unlocking, on the first boot, simply edit the MPM data in the BIOS setup.

What I fear is item number 3, if the laptop has no MPM information left eg Feature bit.. it cannot be restored.
