do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow
Thats exactly what i tryed to avoid. my solder-skills are really not good. iยดd love to use the clip.

                            Good day
                            I'm back again haha

So, after a long time without touching the machine is just suddenly decided to work.
The bios file TGL_MF works perfectly and also the one provided by LAPFIX post 648 is also working, I think the advice from hoaca388 worked.

                            THANK YOU ALL .

Now I have a little favor to ask. Please change service tag to 4X742B3 or help me with clean bios file.

I am now able to read the chip. But when i try to save the bios, the file has just 4mb or less... depends on the chip-setting. i tryed to read the biggest winbond chip-setting but i cannot find 32MB. The Output-File should be 32MB, shouldnยดt it?

And the CH341H cannot detect the Chip... I think its broken

The Auto-detect setting on the CH341A has always been poor. With the original software if the chip is not in the support list it can default to a 1MB chip or something else, not good.. .Which software are you using, what is the chip part number

Its a XMC 25RH256CXIQ PPF83600 01 2128U Chip. I tryed to use the CH341A Programmer-Software ... but there is only 1 Chip in the Chip-List with 32MB and didnt work as well to get a 32MB-File after safeing the file. I can read and get data, and i can verify successfully. So i think the Chip is working fine.

The Problem, i think sits in front of the pc

I tryed to use the CH341A Programmer-Software ... but there is only 1 Chip in the Chip-List with 32MB and didnt work as well to get a 32MB-File after safeing the file. I can read and get data, and i can verify successfully. So i think the Chip is working fine.

OK... Thank you. Worked. At least to get the input of the chip. I used a pogo-pin-tool to bypath soldering. Reading was successful, verifying not. But its a contact problem, because the abortion was at different positions. Also i got an Error immediately when i tryed again. Maybe you can see a coruption of the bios-file or a clean file. I am going to find a way to verify tomorrow successfully and a way to hold contact to write to the chip.

                                            Hello everyone.

I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical. I threw in the display and my hypothesis was correct, however, I was greeted with a locked BIOS and since I didn't know the password, I figured I'd try to unlock it somehow. I bought one of those POGO pin probe things for my CH341A programmer so I could read and make...

Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…...
