- Read BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
- Try the method at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools before requesting help
- Explain you were not able to succeed with the methods at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
- Use search function in case someone already answered your request
- Post under a related thread if it exists
- Provide the full machine model number, serial number (or Service tag, SNID) and the board model number (see https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758 ) ,The serial number, make, full model number, motherboard model and revision (except QR codes) must be written/typed at your request as per the rules. - Name your thread with make, full model numbers and request
- Provide a BIOS/EC dump if possible
- Attach files directly to your post instead of linking to external websites
- Post what the problem is, be specific - black screen, no boot, running slow, password. Do NOT post "clean me", "clear bios", "clean bios", "fix bios", "bios need" or other such terms

Good day
I'm back again haha
So, after a long time without touching the machine is just suddenly decided to work.
The bios file TGL_MF works perfectly and also the one provided by LAPFIX post 648 is also working, I think the advice from hoaca388 worked.
THANK YOU ALL .
Now I have a little favor to ask. Please change service tag to 4X742B3 or help me with clean bios file.Attached FilesComment

I followed the Dell website guide to get the service tag. Says it should be labeled EX on the sticker. Here's all the codes from the sticker but I think it's actually the ST one. Could have sworn I saw the bios say 6P13SL3 code followed by 8FC8 or similar.
MFG YR:2022
ST:6P13SL3
EX:14574205047
Your support is much appreciated!
Hello, I'm new here and I tried to use the .bin file on my Dell Latitude 5520. I tried to copy it on USB drive and boot on it but it didin't work. I also tried to create a bootable USB drive using the .bin but didn't work either. Could you please explain how am I suppose to use the .bin file on my computer?
Your support is much appreciated!
How did you do? Can you explain how to use the .bin files on my computer pleaseComment

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..
here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow
I am now able to read the chip. But when i try to save the bios, the file has just 4mb or less... depends on the chip-setting. i tryed to read the biggest winbond chip-setting but i cannot find 32MB. The Output-File should be 32MB, shouldnยดt it?
And the CH341H cannot detect the Chip... I think its brokenComment

Its a XMC 25RH256CXIQ PPF83600 01 2128U Chip. I tryed to use the CH341A Programmer-Software ... but there is only 1 Chip in the Chip-List with 32MB and didnt work as well to get a 32MB-File after safeing the file. I can read and get data, and i can verify successfully. So i think the Chip is working fine.
The Problem, i think sits in front of the pcComment

Use NeoProgrammer software and choose W25Q256FV - https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...49#post3171449

OK... Thank you. Worked. At least to get the input of the chip. I used a pogo-pin-tool to bypath soldering. Reading was successful, verifying not. But its a contact problem, because the abortion was at different positions. Also i got an Error immediately when i tryed again. Maybe you can see a coruption of the bios-file or a clean file. I am going to find a way to verify tomorrow successfully and a way to hold contact to write to the chip.

by Jeff'sTechHello everyone.
I have come here with a rather specific question. I was given a Dell Latitude 7420 laptop with a busted screen, and wanted to see if I could refurbish it into my daily driver. I wanted to experiment and see if a 2-in-1 display would work as the chassis of the laptop and 2-in-1 7420 looked identical. I threw in the display and my hypothesis was correct, however, I was greeted with a locked BIOS and since I didn't know the password, I figured I'd try to unlock it somehow. I bought one of those POGO pin probe things for my CH341A programmer so I could read and make... -
by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, ๐ ๐ ๐ ...-
