post S/N, full name and model, motherboard model, product number, post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..etc.

What's the problem with the laptop??

Hello, I recently got two locked HP EliteBook 840 G5, I've seen that this tool supports them - however I am not able to get it working.
When I dragged the locked dump onto the exe, I get a supposedly unlocked file, but when I flash it, the BIOS is still locked.

            I am flashing/reading from the 32MB chip.
            Here are my locked dumps.

              For File 1 :
First boot loaded bios factory defaults, save and exit and then at the next boot reseted security settings .
In the first boot go to bios menu and disable security options (Default).
You must fill your DMI manually.

For File 2 : try to read again twice and compare them , i think the one you uploaded is not GOOD

Thank you for the response, however, after flashing the 1 unlocked.bin to the corresponding laptop, it just showed "The BIOS has recovered it's identity data from the embedded controller due to data mismatch." and it is still locked.

Hi, Thanks for the help so far. I have flashed just the 16mb as you suggested but upon starting the laptop it still has a Admin Password for the bios. Any more suggestions??

                      Thanks

Hi, Thanks for all your help. I have now managed to get past the admin password follow your instructions. However the tablet is now very slow to start will only boot after several tries .could this be down to the bios or perhaps a poor solder joint on the chip I put back in maybe.

Hello, have been working on a 650 G2 Bios locked Admin Password and think I finally got it but wish to be positive. All worked as described in the forum with some trials. Used a EZP 2019+ programmer but had to modify it for the ground pin as stated. Also, could not get the programmer to identify the Winbond W25Q128FVSO with the power supply connected and laptop off. Once it was unplugged the programmer identified it as Winbond W25Q128 and I took 4 reads and verified all, they were all the same then used HxD to compare all files were the same. Please have a look at the attached files and let me know if they seem OK to write.
