need bios dump dell latitude 5420 (cpu 11th)

I can see the screen on the laptop but backlight is not turning on. I see a dim screen on laptop and when i presss any key on th ekeyboard it maskes noise.

It`s not a bios problem, it`s hardware.

Hello everyone

I'm having a problem. While updating my laptop's BIOS, it became corrupted and won't exit recovery mode. I already purchased the CH341A reprogrammer and installed the program and drivers.

I verified that it was working correctly, read the chip, and backed up the version I had, but now I can't reprogram the correct version. The files are larger than the chip supports. I have a Winbond 25Q80DVSIG chip, and it appears to be 8 MBits.
Could someone help me find the correct BIN file? Or, if so, tell me what I'm doing wrong.

You chose the wrong chip. The 25Q80DVSIG is for the thunderbolt firmware or something else, it is not the bios chip.

This file doesn't work. As long as I hold the power button the laptop fan will come on at max rpm but the laptop doesn't turn on.
Anything else to try with bios?

So I've been trying to redo this myself but FIT says my dump is corrupt. I then tried to build a new bin file from a Dell update but I can't get the update file extracted (As usual). I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong or if the guide on here is outdated....?
Any guidance or maybe someone able to try build a another bin file for me?

Did you save the original bios before trying others ? .If you did we can check if the service tag in the bios matches with the one you gave, and check if the configuration is ok. If you havn`t got the original bios then we can only assume that the service tag is right one, but the base cover might be from a different laptop.
From the laptop configuration (see attached csv file) based on the service tag the CPU should be an i5-1145g7 - Tiger Lake. You can check the CPU part number to see if it is or not (somettime the motherboard model number will have the chipset name in it).
Also from the configuration you will see it has non-vPro CSME firmware with ME disabled. There are more that 900 posts in this thread and there will be some bios with clean CSME/ME firmware matching that particular configuration.
Use MEAnalyzer to check which bios versions have clean (Configured) firmware or not clean (Initialised) ,and look at the chipset support, if it says TGL it`s Tiger Lake, if it says CML it is Comet Lake. Obviously if you have a Tiger Lake CPU you
don`t want to use a Comet Lake bios.
