Well this sucks that you can't use the old system of password unlockers for Dell.

I have 3 of these Lattitude 5420 systems that I'm asking for help with. I will start with one for now and test it out first.

                Dell Latitude 5420 Core i7 11th gen
                Service Tag: G41J2F3

Early thanks to whom helps out!!!

Out of curiosity. If one unit has been wiped of the admin pw with the fixed BIOS file, can I use the same BIOS file from the first one on the other 2 since I have to re-enter the service tag anyway?

Thanks Rex!! Worked like a charm.

Ok it took me a bit to grab the other BIOS images since one was an XMC chip. Now that I figured that out after searching, here they are.

Of course I would have another one drop in my lap.

How many have you got, don`t you want to learn how to unlock them yourself, a hex editor is all you need.

I'm hoping it's the last. But you are right, the laziness got the better of me. I just compared the previous fixed files and the original lock file with hex comparator. Is it really that easy? I was worried Dell went all Lenovo on us.

I'll try it myself and see.

Ok, got it to work on the first try. Not as easy as I said. Simple to compare when you have a fixed and original BIOS. Hard to find the same string when address locations are off a little per BIOS image.

                                          Hello,
I have a Dell Latitude 5420 stuck on the Dell Security Manager message on startup, I can't do anything.
Here is my BIOS and what I assume is ME (32MB for BIOS and 1MB for ME).
If someone could remove my BIOS password for me so I can reflash it afterwards.
                                          It's an 8FC8.
                                          ST/SN: JSJW5D3
                                          Thanks.

                                          by owegner75
Heya, I'm looking to reflash the BIOS on a Dell Latitude 3590 P75F001 (Service tag: 1HBSDP2). Does anyone have the BIOS for this laptop?

Additionally, I'm not 100% sure I've properly located the BIOS chip. I've found a chip marked as 'UC3' on the mobo, which is labelled as 'WINBOND 25Q128JVSQ 1748' and located right next to where the touch pad's ribbon cable connects to the mobo (see pic). If anyone can verify that this is in fact the correct chip that would be wonderful....
