Are you sure the EC firmware is stored on an external chip and not inside the EC chip.
Post a backup of that 1MB bios lets see whats on it.I think it will be USB/thunderbolt firmware or something.

As i suspected dear, it is not the EC .

yes its USB-C charging port i think flash this will be turn on laptop can u check i uploaded 1mb because laptop not turn on only bliking light no fan moving no cpu heating

Thread merged. The bios is 16MB not 8MB ,you have only backed up 8MB .What model is your programmer and software version,is the chip in the support list.What is the chip part number.

Hello everyone,
i got a laptop here which isnt working after an update. It wont start.
Powerbutton only flashes for a short time after pressing it.
I tried to build a clean Bios myself but in the ME 15.0 Repository is no version 15.0.45.2411, which is the Version from my bios.
Can someone help me with that?

Please HELP fix these bios file
Initially the laptop was working, just wouldn't come back from sleep, so I tried a few bios files from this thread and all didn't display, so I put back the original BIOS file, now the laptop doesn't read any SSD DRIVE

I have tried disabling VMD but after rebooting it turns back on, and unit still does not read SSD
I also I made sure that the date and time are correct also.

PLEASE HELP
