    HP Elitbook 830 g6 SN# 5CG9527FWB Bios chip 32mb MX25L25673GZ4l.
I wanted to remove the BIOS password. When I try, I get the result shown in the screenshot. What should I do?

On this model, check the other side of the motherboard for another 16MB chip. Thatโ€™s the one you need to unlock with RC.

Thanks a lot for the tip, it worked. Sorry for my poor understanding of which BIOS chip to desolder. I'm just starting out.

Thatโ€™s how all of us started. Youโ€™ll get familiar with the models and chip locations in time. Good luck!

I unblocked it, but I ended up getting a Python library error.

post S/N, full name and model, motherboard model, product number,,etc.

post the contents of the bios chip ...
The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

you need an SPI programmer...here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

Hi this is an English ONLY forum. Take a moment to read the rules > RULES UPDATE for BIOS requests/offers *AVOID BANNING, READ BEFORE POSTING* - Badcaps
Also post the full model number and serial number. It looks like you mistook the W25Q80 chip for the BIOS/EC chip.
Your dump is 1MB which means itโ€™s the wrong chip it should be 16MB or 32MB.

Hello and Yes, there should be two 32MB chips like the ones you mentioned (GD25LB256, W25Q256 or MX25L256) a 32MB MAIN BIOS chip and another 32MB EC chip.
Post the MAIN dump or both dumps and weโ€™ll see if it can be unlocked. Latest BIOS versions on that model (HP EB640G11) can be challenging.

What do you mean? Just download the RAR archive and extract it youโ€™ll find the .exe file inside.
Drop your locked file onto it and it will unlock if supported. Like I said everything is already explained in Post #'1

                              Hi everyone! Please help me

My HP ZBook Firefly G7 laptop has three Winbond chips.

I used the 32MB bin file in the RCUnlocker tool but it threw and error saying "Wrong chip. Try reading and unlocking 16MB chip!" However, I found that in total there are 3 windbond chips:
                              - 25Q256JVEN
                              - 25Q128JVPQ
                              - 25Q80DVIG

Two are on the bottom that appear to be unsoldered, and one is clearly soldered on top. I already tried resetting the BIOS password for chip 1 that has 32BM (the one on top), but the computer didn't turn on. I used a Python script that searches for the word "U.s.e.r.C.r.e.d." and removed the password, as I verified with the HxD tool. but it didn't work. Yes, I confirmed that the check worked, and yes, it saved without issue, but it seems I should have done something with these other two chips. When I did this, the led next to charger blinks 9 times and then stayed quite again. However, after some minutes, the fans started running at full speed.

So, I don't know how to start. The 128 and 80 chips look like they are not soldered in comparison to 256 chip. Is that normal? Thanks in advance

He meant " issue " I see you're trying to unlock your laptop
Just like the error suggested you need to read the 16MB chip and use RCUnlocker on it that's the Winbond 25Q128JVPQ
Don't touch the 25Q80 it's usually not used. On most models the relevant chip is either the 25Q128 or 25Q256 (On newer models it can be 25Q512)
Also all chips in pictures are soldered. The bigger WSON8 8ร—6 chip clearly shows the solder but the 2 other smaller WSON 5ร—6 chips only show the edges (still soldered underneath)

That was the answer to your questions BUT I am positive RCUnlocker will NOT unlock your HP ZBook Firefly G7 14

Just a thread to post clean VSS2 files/dumps in.A clean VSS2 file can, in some cases, fix
the infamous **"Endpoint Security" error message.
Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !

I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted
