        sorry for being dumb - I searched all over, couldn't find the right util
        could you point me to app to create a BIOS backup, please ?

          There is no software utility that will backup the bios,the only option is to use an SPI bios programmer

                    Hi everyone. I have same problem, bios locked. Two laptops. Tried to clear ME region and clear 45000 region. password is still there. Anyone can explain what to do? thanks. actually 2 locked dumps attached.

                      Read the rules in the sticky thread and post the service tags ! https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...before-posting. Clearing the 45000 region does not work.Compare a locked/unlocked bios with a hex editor and you might be able to work it out

                        Thanks for your help. Anyway somehow clearing 4000 bytes starting from 45000 address worked. I was doing it a bit wrong. youtube video if someone needs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAxdl59j7u0
