Yes, there are a few, some are boards that you will have to solder in the chip. The easiest is this one: QFN8 /WSON8/MLF8/MLP8/DFN8 TO DIP8 socket/adapter for 6*5MM and 8*6MM chip USA eBay item number:193922530168
I just bought one and arrived yesterday, tested it out, easy to read from, no soldering.

What do you mean with: No soldering ? I mean, first i have to solder the chip out to plug it in the adaptor right ?
Ore maybe you mean, you dont have to solder the chip on the board ?

          Thanks !

The socketed adapters are more expensive than the unsocketed ones

              🛠️ MSI GP75 Leopard MS-17E71 – No Display, Deep BIOS/EC Troubleshooting
              by macabook
              Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
              🧩 Initial Issue
              • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
              • External display (HDMI) shows

ThinkStation P920 bios request (3 chips, all dumps included)
              by f-bone
              Hi guys,

This one crashed during Windows bios update and the USB recovery method does not seem to work so I could use the binary files to flash the chip directly.

I found 3 bios chips onboard, 512k, 4mb and 32mb and here are all the dumps:

              Serial: S4QH1807

Please let me know if it is possible to repair or replace them from the original bios on the site (also attached)

              Thank you in advance!

              Hello everyone,

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 16IAH7. When the device first arrived, there was no display at all.
I had the BIOS cleaned, but the issue was not resolved and there was still no image.

Later, I flashed a different BIOS dump from the same model. With this BIOS, the device boots and display works, but the GPU is not detected in the BIOS (RTX 3060 is missing).

After that, I tried to update the...
