The one at post #2 has clean ME FW. Theres more on the forum with clean ME FW , the same bios is used in these models: Inspiron 3480 3580 3583 3780 Vostro 3480 3580 3583.

Try the attached bios, if it doesn`t work the problem is somewhere else.

It doesn`t matter if the ME FW is a bit older,newer or exactly the same as long as its configured - clean.

Hi all, Ive tried every bios in this thread with pretty much the same result. Laptop powers on no display, after maybe 10 secs the power light will go off but the laptop is still on. Pressing the power button again the fan spins up and after 5 secs the laptop shuts down. Pressing the D key will go through the LCD test cycle as it should. I've attached a copy of the original bios dump if any of you kind folk could take a quick look. TIA

Can you describe the procedure that you performed? For the HDD I do it this way, I type the master password, then press and hold down CTRL key while I press ENTER key just once (CTRL-ENTER), I then read screen messages and if there isn't any confirmation prompt to Secure Erase the hard drive, then I press CTRL-ENTER a second time.
If you do CTRL-ENTER-ENTER quick you may miss that Secure Erase prompt asking for confirmation.

Have you attempted to clean the ME firmware,it should the slow boot
