    Lenovo Thinkpad E485/E585 (NM-B531) BIOS dump request.

    Hello,
    The latest Lenovo BIOS update offered through Windows Update decided to kill the BIOS as the computer crashed during the update. Now the machine powers on, the CAPS LOCK led is on, the fans sometimes spin up but nothing appears on the screen.

    Would a kind soul be so kind to their BIOS *or* assemble the BIOS image from the following update: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/r0uuj78w.exe

    Also if you could share a way how to enable some sort of boot block / recovery option to flash the bios image without a SOIC8 clip that'd be excellent.

      Can someone help me pretty please?
      I managed to figure out how to extract a 16mb image (file offest available at the $PFH trailer), but according to the schematics the BIOS IC is only 64mbit, so I'm very confused at the moment.

          you have to extract the content from the bios chip and posted here ... even if it is corrupt ... find tutorials on the net in this regard ..

                                  This is my first post here (I am very new to forums!) and I hope someone can help. I am looking for a full dump of the BIOS of a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 so that I can get this mini server running again. (BIOS version J06 2019-04-04, chip 25Q064A). I think my board was partially bricked after a failed BIOS update.

                                  The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.

                                  Suspected Cause:
                                  I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.

                                  Hi all,

                                  My Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro 15.6-inch laptop has no display and won't boot.
                                  The charging red LED lights up, but the charging screen doesn't show any indication.
                                  When I press the power button, the blue LED cycles on and off three times, then the screen doesn't turn on, and the device won't boot.
