The bios has clean ME firmware and a new bios region from the available download section. Maybe it will work if you flash the EC as well. If you enter your serial number at Getac support there is a warning message about it having a custom bios, and to contact them for it.

How do I write the bios? Do I need to transfer anything from the faulty one? Tech support doesn't tell me anything useful. I've tried a bunch of files for the V110g5 but none of them work, but on the DCU220 it fits, albeit poorly. Why can't I download without a serial number on the official site, what the hell. my laptop used to be factory BMW, neither Getac nor BMW can give a bios.

Where is the EC firmware located? In the bios or somewhere separate? Having a working computer at the moment with bios from DCU220 can I write EC from V110g5 and then the flash you gave? Why are almost all Getac bios custom? Thx

          Hello dear Sirs and Madams,

          I have here a Getac V110, presumably a G2.
About a year ago, i set a pretty secure BIOS-Password, which i definitively cant remember.
As i understand, the bios pwd is plaintext in the bios backup, but i couldnt find it.
It would be great if someone could help me here, so i can install linux again.

          regards

          Holger

              Thanks a lot,
Is it possible to just extract the pwd, as i dont want to risk flashing if possible.

Correct, this BIOS dump it's from a Getac V110G2.
There are 3 posts on this thread where the decoded password is also the same as this one.

                password = dbihg

Sorry, Peste, but the file isn't working.
                                    I have nothing left.
The indicator light comes on for 30 seconds, then nothing.

                                    Hello everyone,
Despite the file provided by PESTE, the bios is still locked..
Is it possible to find the 'said' password in the bios reading..
If so, please tell me which lines to refer to.
Beautiful day to all of you.

                                      Hello everyone,
Sorry to insist, but I tested it with another BIOS program provided on the forum, and it works.
The problem is that the serial number doesn't match.
Is there a way to unlock my BIOS administrator password?
