Just check other variables that have already been marked as Invalid, the usual thing to do is to modify the variable header from AA553F(h) to AA553C(h), save changes to a new file and then open that file with UEFITOOL NE version to check if modification is properly done, the variable should appear as Invalid.

... or just upload your BIOS file.

Hello! I'm trying to read this BIOS on a Getac V110 G4 but after comparing with the files shared here it seems I'm lacking one file that is the Intel image. I only got a 1024kb file but I'm unsure of which chip I should be reading besides the W25Q80DVSIG. If anybody could point me in the right direction that would be awesome. Thanks!

Hey Vesko356, thanks for that link. I've carefully examined the board looking for another memory. I've actually found an ATML736 that seems to be a 93C46 per the datasheet. I tried reading that with two different programmers: UUSP-S (formally UPAUSB) and CH341a and still nothing came up. Check the attached pictures if you can. Thanks!

Neither of these is the bios chip.
Search for it more carefully by looking around the board.
It should be labeled W25Q128xxxx or something similar containing the 128 in the marking.

I finally found the right chip. On my version of Getac V110 G4 its located right underneath CPU chip. I see the SystemOemGetacS variable and its GUID: 919F933F-46CD-46F6-9BBB-6EA0D8F05DA0 but I've compared the body of other Invalid variables inside the dump and can't find a consistent result that I could use to invalidate SystemOemGetacS. Can somebody help me clean password on this one? Or try to guess it, please.

Bro, thank you so much! I will try this file tomorrow but inspecting on UEFITool already shows the variable as Invalid. I realized you changed only a hex byte. Does that brake the checksum and therefor invalidates the whole thing or is any other logic involved in it? Thanks

Just check other UEFI variables in your BIOS dump, the invalid ones and you will see the difference in the header.

You're welcome.
About your question - the password is encrypted and not in plain text as in the dump attached at post #6 for example, therefore I just invalidated the password in your dump.

The password in your BIOS file is encrypted and cannot be easily recovered, unless it was really a Getac V110 G3 BIOS file, but it is actually a Getac V110 G4 bios.
