It should work, most likely you made a mistake somewhere in the process - bad programming or soldering etc. Start all over and be more careful.

Hello everyone, I bought a laptop from ebay, used it for half a year and it was blocked by k12 device frozen 4891.
I thought to go into the bios settings, but the bios has a password.
installed Windows without changing the settings, I thought it was a matter of boot security.
I read the forum and bought a 341 programmer, successfully flashed the BIOS and removed the password using RcUNLOCK
I made a new Windows and everything worked for 3 days, when the error k12 of freezing the device appeared again ...
started reading further, it turns out there is a second bios of 32 mb
I took it off and considered the dump. How can I find in the editor, in the bios for 32 mb related to k12 help unlock

I uploaded a 16 MB bios dump from the bottom of the board, it contained the administrator password rc unlock helped to remove it, but the freezing error still appears.
Just in case, I'll attach my working dump, 16 mb at the bottom
I took from 188 messages an unlocked BIOS for 16 and 32 mb I flashed both, nothing starts, the laptop turns on and off, the cooler spins, the caps lock flashes 5 timesComment

can you post here the block address you edit in hex? i tried RCU it doesn't boot no display. specific block starting and end. i tried copmparing files unlocked and my dump it has so many differences i dont know which block need to be modified.Comment

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -

I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76
Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set.... -

Hello I have a dell optiplex SFF plus 7020 with a password that I recovered from e-waste. It is possible to get the password removed via the bios patch method? I managed to dump the 32MB bios chips and would like help patching it to MFG mode so I can clear the password.
