Try the 16MB bin with RCUnlocker.

RCUnlocker did unlock the 16MB here locally, but if it didn't work, test the 32MB. First time I do this. Maybe start with flashing 32MB only.

Translates as function byte, so probably password is still there. Sorry the method didn't work, applied one that is for 840 G8.

If you are willing to try, unlock the 16MB file with RCUnlocker, and if it doesn't, continue with the BIG CHIP_unlocked. Please report back. Make sure you have good backups before any flashing is done.
This is how hoaca388 solved it:
"You used the bios of another machine, so in the 32MB bios file, there is MPM information of that device and it has enabled the "security endpoint". I rebuilt the new 32MB bios file, cleaned the ME region.
With the 16MB file, I deleted the first NvramActiveRegn region.
But now you may have trouble with MPM again."
No trouble with MPM was reported, but further work may be needed, perhaps also cleaning ME Region on the 32MB chip. I only cleaned the USER CRED Region.

Your backup should always work. Resolder if chip was taken out. If it is a WSON, I usually take it out, clean underside of chip, clean and tin again all pads, with very little solder, lots of flux and hot air station a little bit higher temp setting, faster time. I have had WSON chips that somehow are soldered on one corner but the opposite corner diagonally is lifted, probably due to too much solder in the middle pad. Using a digital microscope helps seeing that tiny detail.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Notice to users of XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76 programmers regarding BIOS backup file size

                                            Hi everyone
I noticed on the Xgpro software the BIOS backup files have extra bytes at the end when reading some chips, this is because the Xgpro software also reads the OTP region of those flash chips, and by default will append that region to the saved file
                                            Programmer models: XGecu TL866II Plus / T48 / T56 / T76

Example: GD25LQ128D (1.8V), IC size is listed as 0x1000000 Bytes (16777216 bytes) + 0xC00 bytes, those extra 0xC00 bytes will be appended to the end of the saved file by default, resulting in a file size of 16780288 bytes
There's also an extra OTP Secu.R...

Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....

                                            by overclocker1786
Hello I have a dell optiplex SFF plus 7020 with a password that I recovered from e-waste. It is possible to get the password removed via the bios patch method? I managed to dump the 32MB bios chips and would like help patching it to MFG mode so I can clear the password.

                                            Thanks.

A schematic would also be amazing if anyone has one!...
