i tried files from here but no display......my orignal file got display but hangs as booting with windows ....i think its a bios issue as all hardwere is good ....my ori file is attached..mobo code is 6050a2992901-MB-A01;;;;this board using intel cpu and amd graphicComment

Hello,
I got a Lenovo ThinkStation P520 (Type 30BF) from a friend, asking me for a repair. Windows 11 offered a firmware upgrade as an optional update, and it failed.
The emergency flash procedure from the hardware manual has also failed. So, I asked an acquaintance with better skills to flash the BIOS directly.
However, the chip (a Macronix MX25L25673GMI-08G) has a size of 32 MB, and the BIOS file from the Lenovo website (extracted with UEFITool) has a little more than 16 MB. Thus, the software my acquaintance used (SiberiaProg v1.45, with a CH341A Programmer)... -

We have a dump from the SPI BIOS (version .204) and an update file from the official website of the same version. In the BIOS region of the original dump, there are two NVRAM areas at the beginning that contain DMI and certificates (and most likely a password). can someone plese, help me understand the significance of cleaning ME region in a BIOS dump file?
I know that Manegement Engine (ME) data is part of BIOS/UEFI firmware. I know that it contains some HW specific data for the particular laptop.
What I don't know, why do I need to clean ME region if I try BIOS dump file from another laptop (of course same type and model). I'm not sure if this is only because of the serial number (not sure if that is stored in ME region at all).

I bought, totally on purpose a HP Elitebook 255 G9 with no OS. I do have a few Windows licence keys lying around and wanted to adventure a key into this bios.
What I do know:
A Windows licence follows this same sting of hex numbers in every bios: 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 1D 00 00 00
The dump of the HP 255 G9 does not have this string.
My guess is that Windows activation looks for named string and checks the licence key behind it. (please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm learning)....05-16-2024, 08:58 AM
