The day those EC/KBC chips are supported by any programmer, you can post a dump for unlocking
Thanks a lot for your feedback.
I will wait for a solution future, I hope.

Thank you the community for your help.

Hello, I haven't been able to remove the password from my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 5th generation 20 HR.
      SN PFOVPF3N
      EEPROM 25Q128FVSQ
      BIOS: NIMET78W (1.63)
      BIOS recovery with NeoProgrammer OK
BIOS patch with your Lenovo AutoPatcher 0.2 program OK
Writing the patch to the EEPROM OK.
The computer starts, the power button is lit, but the screen is black and there's a short 7-note beep music.
      Does anyone have any ideas?

      Hi Your actual S/N is PF0VPF3N (That's a Zero "0", not the letter "O")
Anyway, Try this BIOS file. FIRST flash Type_20HR_BIOS_Ver_163+WinKey and WAIT for your machine to boot
Only then proceed with ALL the AUTO-PATCHER steps using the second file Type_20HR_BIOS_Ver_163_PATCHED
And After the password is removed, flash back (Of course) Type_20HR_BIOS_Ver_163+WinKey again, see if it works

      Lenovo X1 Carbon 5th Gen - Kabylake (Type 20HR, 20HQ) Laptop (ThinkPad) - Type 20HR
      Machine Type Model 20HR0022FR

            Hello,
I can't manage to remove supervisor password on Lenovo T480
I followed everystep of autopatcher (using python 3.xx) and tried a lot of solutions, always end up at :
            - else a black screen, laptop is stuck at pulling 0.490A
            - else lenovo logo screen, doesnt react to the enter key

I fixed the intruder with kapton, tried a lot of bios and its still not working

            Serial No : PF1JTXV3
            MTM : 20L6S5LF00

Thanks if you can help me

For T480 and T480s the patcher tool did not seem to work but I have used the alternative method suggested by MaxPower and shown on YouTube MxP where you short the LPC debug connector during startup- needs patience but works

Its not working, stuck at pulling 0.490A for 10minutes straight
I have managed to get to password supervisor with this bios, but typing anything was returning an incorrect password
I feel i am missing something, i dont know whats not working...
Should i solder another chip from a donor board?

update : i tried to solder another chip on the board from a donor and it was stuck at 0.400A.

If your last attached file(s) are working then write this patched content and follow the steps for autopatcher then write back your original (posted) dump.

My both last attached files are working, i have tried the one you made before. it was not working. (stuck on lenovo screen, can't press enter)
Now my pc still boots because i put back original bios before soldering, but i can't program chip anymore, neo programmer / as programmer doesnt detect it on spi nor, but detects as a i2c eprom.

It's a good thing that you made backups...
So find another chip from a donor MB ... any of this type, and write the content in that:

                      Macronix MX25L128
                      Winbond W25Q128
                      Micron N25Q128
                      EON EN25QH128

I took another chip, and its doing the same exact thing, but now it doesnt boot.
I can't program a chip outside of the mobo.
Maybe something on my motherboard is wrong ?

                          Hello everyone,
I need your help for my X1 carbon 5th equipped with a Winbond W25Q128FV: after removing the internal battery and CMOS, using a CH341A, I performed several dumps with different software (CH341A ...1.18, NeoPro.....2.1.0.19 and Flashrom Win...V09.9-97).
After making sure that these dumps were identical with HxD, I patched one of them and then flashed it.
At startup, the backlit keyboard lights up and then the power button starts flashing several times before becoming constant again and... nothing else happens: the screen remains unfortunately black, no access to the bios to continue deleting the supervisor password...
Thank you in advance for your help and, please, explain to me where the error(s) committed may come from...

I am very grateful for the file you sent me: supervisor password removed!
Would you be so kind as to let me know what was wrong with my files?

I got a X1 Carbon Gen 9 and tried all the steps but without success.
The BIOS IC dump has been made via CH341. Here is the result of your script:

Using UEFIReplace to inject 2 DXE drivers...
                            [1/2] BootOption (GUID e0746c42-d3f9-4f8b-b211-1410957b9ff5)

lenovo_biosfile_2.bin is corrupted or does not contain a valid dump.
                            There was an error... Aborting.

                            Dear Stefan Steff,
I am very grateful for the file you sent me: supervisor password removed!
Would you be so kind as to let me know what was wrong with my files?
                            best regards
                            You're welcome !
There was nothing wrong with your files...technically...only the BIOS region from your dump was too new...That's all.

                              Thank you.
Also, is the fact that "the BIOS region from [my] dump was too new" related to having flashed the bios to its latest version before attempting to delete the supervisor password?
                              Best regards

post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

                              Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                              🧩 Initial Issue
                              • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                              • External display (HDMI) shows
                              ...

[Problem/ Request] Bricked TongFang GK7MRFR BIOS

                              Hello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details

Dell Latitude 5530 BIOS Password Removal Attempted but I Broke the Laptop
                              by TopPop
Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.

I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...

ASUS Zenbook Pro Duo UX8402ZA BIOS

                              Hello everyone,

I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.

When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.

I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...

                              Hello everyone,

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 16IAH7. When the device first arrived, there was no display at all.
I had the BIOS cleaned, but the issue was not resolved and there was still no image.

Later, I flashed a different BIOS dump from the same model. With this BIOS, the device boots and display works, but the GPU is not detected in the BIOS (RTX 3060 is missing).

After that, I tried to update the...
