I managed to desolder and program the original BIOS onto the chip. It worked fine. I verified it twice and everything was correct. However, after soldering it back onto the board, it no longer turns on. The power button flashes three times, and that's it.Comment

I have used the autopatcher successfully many times in the past, but this time, with a P52s (20LB), I’m having a problem. As usual, I read out the BIOS and patched it using the autopatch script. No error message appeared. After flashing the patched BIOS, the laptop booted up, but after a while an error beep sounded. The Lenovo Diagnostics app identified the beep code as 010225. Google didn’t have much information about this error. To be on the safe side, I swapped the RAM module, but without success. Then, just to be sure, I flashed the original BIOS. The laptop booted up normally, just with a password. After that, I went through the whole procedure again, but in the end, the beep code appeared once more. What could be the reason for this?

There's a search function here. I think there are enough patches for this model to confirm.

by macabookHello everyone,
I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
🧩 Initial Issue- Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

by cr4zychrissHello everyone,
I am requesting urgent assistance to unbrick my laptop, a rebranded TongFang GK7MRFR chassis. The laptop is completely dead following a faulty in-OS EC flash attempt.
I have successfully used a CH341A programmer and can read/write/verify both flash chips, but using my backups/extractions has failed to restore power. The root cause is likely a corrupted Intel Management Engine (ME) region or an incompatible EC/BIOS pairing. System & Hardware Details- Barebone / Chassis: TongFang GK7MRFR

by TopPopSorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.
I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip... -
by piratiHello everyone,
I recently bought a non-working Asus Zenbook Pro Duo OLED UX8402ZA that was listed for parts only. The seller mentioned that it had no display output but that the charging lights worked.
When the laptop arrived (without a charger and SSD), I connected a charger and confirmed with a multimeter that it was charging the battery. However, when I tried to power it on, only the backlight of the secondary display came on. There was no image, and it didn’t boot into the BIOS.
I decided to try flashing a new BIOS, but since I didn’t want to desolder...-

Hello everyone,
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 16IAH7. When the device first arrived, there was no display at all.
I had the BIOS cleaned, but the issue was not resolved and there was still no image.
Later, I flashed a different BIOS dump from the same model. With this BIOS, the device boots and display works, but the GPU is not detected in the BIOS (RTX 3060 is missing).
After that, I tried to update the...-
